Living on the Land - Off the Grid

Coming down the driveway, surrounded in vines and ferns I felt as if I was slipping into a dream land. This can't be Florida, can it?

This piece of the world IS a dream. It is joy and a labor of love. It is potential, sustainability, and so much more. It is magical. (See here for the first installment of this photo project)

Their trailer is now in its little corner of the cleared plot of land. The solar panels have been installed and converter makes powering the trailer possible. The composting toilet functions. And for the time being, rainwater supplies their needs with a concentrated effort on conservation.

There is a sense of wild and free but also security. It is the way a home should feel.

Downsizing has been a challenge. But, man, Nay did it in style. Seriously she should start her own show on HGTV on trailer conversions.

They did it. They have 360 views of NATURE. HOME. PEACE and TRANQUILITY. And, according to the little girl that lives next door, "there's a lot of shooting stars."
